Hakiki: WordPress Case Study
Hakiki makes Turkish ice cream, also known as dondurma, and sells baklava from a shop in Newtown, NSW. Our WordPress build for Hakiki includes an online shop, a menu page, a franchise page, a media and news section and a gallery, plus a homepage section that explains what dondurma is.
The Challenge
Hakiki's site has to explain its product as well as sell it: what dondurma is, where it comes from and why its texture differs from other ice cream. It also needed an online shop for packaged items such as baklava, and room for franchise enquiries and press coverage.
Our Approach
- •Gave the WordPress site a menu for About Us, Shop, Menu, Franchise, Media, Gallery, FAQs and Contact Us, and a cart in the header.
- •Put the phone number and the Newtown shop address in a bar above the menu on every page.
- •Gave the homepage a close-up hero of the ice cream counter, an "Escape the Ordinary" section on how dondurma is made and served, and a panel on its origins in Kahramanmaras, Turkey.
- •Added a shop for packaged products such as baklava, a photo gallery, and news posts about the business.
The Results
- ✓Our mockups capture the finished site, laid out for desktop and for a phone: the shop, the dondurma story, the gallery and the news posts.
- ✓We have no figures for online orders or franchise enquiries with a source and a date, so none are claimed.
Client benefits
- Customers can order packaged products such as baklava online.
- The shop address and phone number show on every page.
- Franchise enquiries have a page of their own.
- Press coverage and news sit together under Media.
